Our clients have owned and operated the Minishant Restaurant since 2010, however the premises traded as the Minishant Inn for many years prior, and are therefore extremely long established and something of an institution in the area.

Our clients changed it from a village pub and restaurant to more of an out and out restaurant, focusing on home-made, quality, gastro pub style food and excellent service, and this has proved extremely popular. The business enjoys an excellent reputation and a loyal and regular customer base from the surrounding area including Alloway and Maybole, but also benefits from the high levels of tourists, day-trippers & golfers etc who flock to the Ayrshire area, particularly in the spring/summer months.

A new owner may choose to revert back to more of a pub/restaurant, or alternatively the premises would easily lend themselves to an alternative style of cuisine such as Indian/Italian/Chinese etc.

Due to ill health, our client currently only trades limited hours, trading Thursday/Friday 4pm-close and Saturday/Sunday 12-close, however there is huge potential for a new owner operator to increase these hours.

The restaurant is accessed via the terrace, with an entrance vestibule leading into the main restaurant dining area. The premises have been designed and fitted to a high standard with a stylish yet cosy, homely feel, and benefit from an attractive fireplace with a real wood/coal burning stove.

The restaurant can comfortably accommodate 45 covers, although this could be squeezed further, and seating is by way of comfy fixed booths and loose tables and chairs.
