This upscale private fitness training studio was opened in 2007 and the original owner still operates the facility at the same location with 1,200 square feet of space. It is part of a nationwide franchise that was founded in 1984 and currently has 550 locations.
Results for 2018 are significantly higher than in prior years as the owner improved the business model focusing on higher revenue per client. Further growth will result from additional clients acquired by marketing, referrals, re-engagement of the established client base, and outreach to the 400 prior clients on the house list. The owner now does limited training and is assisted by a manager and two part-time trainers covering both the early morning and evening classes. Growth can be easily accommodated by having two simultaneous trainings.
Competition comes from personal trainers operating independently or at larger fitness facilities. Some clients have come from other local fitness clubs. Most clients live within five miles of the studio.
