Expansion Potential:

This business was grown organically and started as a hobby business. The growth, customer-base and brand presence established to-date has mainly been through unpaid social media and word of mouth advertising. As a result, there is a significant amount of growth opportunity - especially with marketing efforts. The top growth opportunities would be:
- expanding to the US market (something we haven't even started to do)
- building and executing a thorough email strategy including customer profiling / drip campaigns etc (we have an email list of 6,000+ customers but do very little with it
- placing a dedicated focus on paid social ads, SEO/Google optimization paid google ads and google shopping ads

Competition / Market:

There are very few clothing companies in Canada that produce all their products domestically. There are other brands located in Canada (primarily BC and Alberta) that are of relative size and scope to our business but most outsource at least a portion of our their styles. We have done extensive competitive analysis and would be able to provide findings and opportunities to a prospective buyer.

Reasons for selling:

I started this business as a maternity leave hobby while my firstborn was a baby and it has grown significantly. It has become my third 'child' and I've dedicated myself to building a successful and impressive business over the past five years. The business is now at a place where it is well-positioned for further explosive growth but I feel this growth would be better suited for a new owner with a fresh perspective who isn't as emotionally invested in the company. I am proud of where I've gotten the business to date but also recognize it is my time to step away and find someone who can the business reach it's full potential.

The team consists of the owner who overseas the full operations with a focus on social media and marketing, a bookkeeper/strategists, two part-time warehouse/customer service team members and three part-time retail team members.

We have very detailed process documents for all aspects of the business. We have also done a significant amount of competitive analysis and strategic planning, in addition to conducting a number of customer services. We have very organized operations and very details summaries of what is important to our customers and would be happy to provide the new owner with a comprehensive training package, along with a playbook they could use as they move the business forward.
