$7,000,000

A Southeast U.S. precision metalworking company founded in the early 1980s. Single site in rural South Carolina (~63,000 sq ft), on a highway corridor serving the Carolinas and Georgia.

Quality credentials

  • ISO 9001 certified
  • NADCAP accredited for heat treating aluminum and beryllium copper for aerospace applications.

Capabilities:
Tool and die design, build and repair: progressive, transfer, line, short-run, repair, reverse engineering, and die storage

Stamping: presses from 15 to 600 tons with wide servo coil feeds on the largest presses; coil-fed and hand-fed work across carbon steel, stainless, aluminum, brass, plated, and pre-painted stock. Bed sizes into the 60″ × 108″ class. Long-standing approved draw stamping and heat-treating vendor for a major aerospace components OEM.

5-axis and 3-axis CNC machining; conventional machining, grinding, boring, and wire/conventional EDM.

Fabrication: Laser (practical thin-to-moderate plate; not a thick-plate burn house), press brake and shear, welding including robotic MIG and spot weld, heat treat (including drop-bottom quench).

Custom fixtures, gauges, and light special machines/automation design and fabrication.

Secondary services: assembly, kitting, design and reverse engineering.

Engineering: SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Fusion360, Surfcam, and related

Positioning:
A true tool-room-plus-production job shop rather than a single-process stamp house. Customers can buy tooling, stampings, machined parts, and secondary work from one supplier, with a quick-response culture for die repair and short-lead tooling. The long aerospace OEM approval and NADCAP heat-treat scope signal the company can hold regulated, high-spec, QC-heavy work.

Typical end markets:
Over 130 active customers. Industrial OEMs and engineered-component buyers; aerospace, electrical infrastructure OEMs, HVAC OEMs, transportation / trailer-component work; broader industrial fabrication and tooling; aerospace-adjacent programs via the long-standing OEM approval and NADCAP Al / BeCu heat treat.

Investment thesis (high level)
Currently owned by an out-of-state fund who cannot manage the business well from afar. The company has quite a lot of demand and needs engaged leadership to activate on the major quote opportunities it has.
