The business was established in late 2021 to be a subscription box that makes discovering products fun, easy and affordable. Our theory is that life is better when experienced with a good beverage. We search for great products and pair them with an assortment of beverages to create the ultimate sampling experience.
The company was started as a part-time venture for a busy mother and has proven to be profitable and well received in the industry and amongst customers and social media influencers. The company is small and manageable now and can be run with little staff. However, it can easily be scaled to a much larger size if that’s the goal of the future owner. This is a great business for someone who wants to get into the growing and very popular subscription box industry. The foundation is set!
Our current sales model has us seeking products that fall into categories like health conscious, social conscious, new to the market, inspirational, fashion forward, handmade, eco-friendly, clean ingredients, and delicious. With this approach we have been able to share not only some of the best products on the market but also help shine a spotlight on many small and minority-owned businesses that may not receive a lot of exposure. Broadening or narrowing the product categories is easily modified based on the owner's preference.
We started with a typical subscription box payment model, but discovered this sales approach didn’t work for every customer. We currently offer a few options that we feel improved the overall customer shopping experience, and this approach has eliminated the occasional canceled or deferred order. We proudly advertise as the “subscription box that doesn’t require a subscription.” This change in our selling model became a well-received marketing tool.
Of course, the selling model and type of products offered can always be modified by the new ownership at any time. In addition to the following options, the website can be linked to an app that collects recurring subscription payments if that were something that a future owner would like to implement again with the click of a button.
Sourcing products is fun, and the assortment of items we provide is what sets us apart from other boxes on the market. Many brand partners will supply us with free samples or even free full-sized products. Other companies offer their products at a wholesale cost. We regularly work with other subscription box companies and purchase some of their overstock inventory marked well below wholesale. A list will be provided to new ownership that includes various companies and suppliers we have sourced products from so new ownerships has a starting point, should the new owner choose to use it. Sourcing and researching product can be time consuming but is necessary to the subscription box industry. This provided information should be viewed with great value.
The business has accumulated a healthy amount of high-quality inventory. That inventory is a huge asset and should move on to the next owner to be a base to build from. The available inventory at time of sale will be included in the sale and will be shipped at the expense of the seller. The inventory will also come with paperwork noting the cost and value of each product, the quantity, and any additional information about the product that we may have available. End of year inventory for 2023 has a wholesale value of $2,000 and a retail value of $9,800.
The company logo was professionally designed when we held a design competition and graphic artists from all over the world submitted their designs. Our logo comes in various designs, colors and in a couple different formats. New ownership will also receive the QR codes that link to the website, Instagram and Facebook sites.
Transfer of Instagram and Facebook accounts will come as part of the sale. We are averaging between 800-1000 new organic followers each month. We are currently at 12k followers and counting! Taking on a company that already has an established audience, and one that has continual growth is a huge bonus. We are also including a list of influencers that we have worked with. Our influencers have huge audiences and having this information is a marketing time saver.
