This creative and fun business has been running on autopilot (except for pouring products & mailing products) for over 5 years. It was taking in between $500 to $1200 a month on autopilot. Search algorithms at Google, Ebay & Amazon have changed recently and I don't have the time (or desire) to make the changes and get it back up. I know how to make the changes, and can make a videotape of these changes, but don't have the time or the desire. I am interested in other businesses that I have now and am getting ready for retirement in 4 years.
This was the perfect cottage industry since 1995 that I was able to build and and also control during the care-taking of my parents and other personal changes, and it ran on autopilot when I was getting other businesses up and running too. I'm preparing for retirement (4 years away) and want to sell it.
This business can be operated anywhere in the USA as all of the products are just mailed in free boxes supplied by the US Post Office.
If you pour cupcake batter into the pan, you can create the products to mail. If you can post pictures on Facebook & Instagram and write 500 word blog posts about the products, you can get this business back up to a minimum of $1200 a month on autopilot. If you list all of the products on Amazon (I only have about 8 of them up now) you will increase that amount. If you are willing to give classes, both live and online, on how to make polymer clay dolls and polymer clay jewellery, you can increase your income by more than double. It could run and be profitable by using groupon. Free classes would only be free advertisements for the actual products. If you can train other workers to do these classes for you, this business is expandable both nationally and internationally as the polymer clay doll making and jewellery making niche market is international. This business with live classes can easily be "franchised". It would look a lot like the popular painting franchises out there.
You have probably figured out that this would be the perfect business for a woman who wants to work from home so she has the time and flexibility to be with her kids. It's even more perfect for a husband and wife and both working together could scale this business in no time.

The business location is in Florida, but this is a 90% online business at the moment. You can run the business anywhere. It's completely portable and expandable.
It can be run out of a garage, a small industrial bay, or a retail shop. I ran it out of my garage and had it on autopilot for many years.
This is where the real value in this business lies. It can be recreated anywhere and with college kids or working moms (or anyone else) that has a little creativity, classes and studios can be built up with next to nothing but tables, chairs and pictures.
The products are all one of a kind, made with molds that were created by the owner. They are not reproducible by anyone else. There are also DVDs & books that are unique, can't be recreated.
I am now 61 years old and planning to retire. I have also started other businesses (in which I can travel) that I will be doing in that retirement. This business was started from a bag of plaster, I built it up into its own brand, I did neglect it over the last 5 years, and should have sold it when I ran out of time, but it was a "baby" I couldn't let go of. It's now time to sell it and I'm ready to let go.
I will train owner (after purchase) how to make the products, how to run the business on autopilot, what marketing changes it needs (how to update the algorithms), list of suppliers, how to run a life class, how to train employees, etc. Much of the training will be on video so you can refer to it and use it to train your employees.
