The Green Frog was established by our client in April 2012 after they took on what was an existing fishing and smokehouse business, before investing and continually developing and expanding the business to create the impressive facility that exists today.

It was always our client’s aim to create a facility that the whole family could enjoy and spend time together in the beautiful, peaceful surroundings of the Upper Annan Valley surrounded by the Moffat Hills whilst enjoying the various pursuits on offer.

Café
Seating is laid out over 2 separate areas and can accommodate approximately 100 customers by way of comfy sofas and loose tables and chairs. An outside decking area can seat a further 50/60 customers. There is a fully fitted catering kitchen which services the café.

Garden Centre
Stocked from April to October, the garden centre is positioned to the rear of the café in a large outdoor area and benefits from a substantial undercover section as well as a polytunnel.

Gift Shop/Pet Shop
Positioned within the main property, the gift shop sells a good selection of giftware including jewellery, clothing, candles, books, cards, garden ornaments and indoor plants as well as Scottish gifts. There is a separate section which sells a good range of pet products.

Soft Play/Play Area
The subjects benefit from a small soft play area beside one of the café seating sections, as well as a well-equipped outdoor adventure playground, sandpits and mini golf.

Fishing
Fishing is provided for all ages and abilities in two, long standing, clear water, spring fed lochans. There is a 4.5-acre fly pond for the more experienced angler, as well as a 2-acre bait pond for the less experienced and beginners, which is popular with families. The lochans are regularly stocked with fish from their onsite fish farm as well as purchasing additional stock. Fishing equipment is available for hire. The sale also includes a small motor boat which is used for maintenance.

Camping/Glamping
Caravan and motorhome camping is provided in a new, extended, hard standing site and can accommodate approximately 30 caravans. The site currently offers 8 electric hook-up points.
There is currently a portable toilet block with 2 showers and 2 toilets although the site has planning permission for a permanent shower and toilet block.
The subjects also benefit from 2 modern glamping pods which can be rented on a nightly basis.
The subjects also rent annual sites to static caravans and also offer caravan and motorhome storage.
