Best.Energy South East Europe (SEE) teams up with leading distributor, MCI, to deliver results-led energy efficiency project.

Client Requirements

Representing domestic and foreign brands to the likes of Nestle, McCain, Radatz and more, MCI noticed an influx in their energy bill and sought to identify changes in their profit and loss calculations. They concluded the problem to be the electricity used in the 7 cold rooms, an area of high demand renowned for its heavy consumption levels. MCI needed an effective solution that could offer realtime asset level data to identify waste, and Best.Energy gave them just that.

Our Solution

The team analysed the cold storage rooms using the Eniscope, and revealed that 1 cold room hardly functioned and the other was totally defective.

The problem? The temperature was too cold. After consulting with the client and brand managers to define their needs, we installed the Air Digital to remotely schedule, monitor and control multiple assets via a single unit, altering the levels from -26 c to the optimal temperature at -18 c.

The Results

We executed the first site with a convincing case roll-out across the remainder:

• 20% Savings on the Monthly Bill

• ROI - Within 1 year

• Total energy visibility across the site down to the asset level, identifying waste

• Overall energy savings of 10%+ and 20% savings in the cold room consumption
