Tropic Shopping Centre reduces it's carbon footprint with 10% savings
TROPIC is investing in the efficiency of its facilities and significantly reducing it's carbon footprint!
Best.Energy South East Europe (SEE) in collaboration with the TROPIC team optimises costs in the shopping centre.
Client Requirements
TROPIC was facing rising electricity costs due to a change in tariff models, as well as a long-standing issue of excessive energy consumption within the facility, without a clear insight into where the losses were occurring.
10% Savings
Their main desire was to establish a precise system for monitoring consumption in order to identify “energy leaks” and optimise the operation of the facility’s key systems.
Our Solution
We installed energy monitoring equipment and discovered significant losses in the building’s heating and cooling systems.
The HVAC system had inadequate start/stop scheduling, and we optimised its operation. We installed CUES, which delivered a 15% electricity saving in the operation of the cold rooms.
