The owners generally work 40-50 hour weeks. One runs the clerical/admin function, deals with new customers, and performs the estimating. He is an electrician but has not been in the field for 20 years. The business leverages his electrical license. The other brother/owner performs estimating and manages the relationship with their largest customer. He has an electrical license as well but his is not tied to the company.
AR is generally between $30K-$150K at any given time. The owners keep about $100K in the bank for working capital purposes. Inventory is generally $50K-$100K.
The sellers also own the building and are open for a sale. The RE is on city gas, water, and has a septic tank.
