The owner of this Brooklyn-based Bathroom Fixtures & Tile. Showroom started it from scratch 14 years ago. Now, 60% of his revenues come from six other names under which he sells these products as a highly rated authorized dealer on Amazon and eBay.
Most products that are sold from those sites are drop shipped. Both the brick-and-mortar showroom and e-commerce sides of the business are included in the $600K asking price. The showroom, which accounts for 40% of total sales, contains 2,500 sq ft at street level, with another 1,000 sq ft of gallery space on the second floor.
The lease runs for another 5 years. The rent is just $5,000 per month and escalates to only 1% per year. There is also a 4,000-square-foot warehouse in Newark, NJ, from which everything that is not dropped shipped is stored and then sent out.
The $200K in annual owner's discretionary cash flow comes after all business expenses are taken into account. The seller suggests that, besides Amazon and Ebay, there are similar e-commerce growth opportunities with the likes of Walmart and Wayfair.
He would now like to do something different after running this business for 14 years, but not before providing you with all the transitional support & training you will need to feel confident running the business yourself. Please do not speak with anyone while visiting the showroom, as the employees and customers do not know it's for sale.
