The store has an energy-efficient HVAC system, a professional alarm system, a wireless surveillance system, ample free off-street-parking, and geothermall heated sidewalks, so there is no worry about shovelling if it snows.

We share the building with Thai Orchid Cafe, one of the most popular restaurants in town which brings us lots of lunch and dinner walk-in business, a jewelry designer, and an internet provider--all tenants have separate entrances. Expansion potential:

The market is prime for expansion into infants', children's (to 6X) and maternity clothing consignment and resale. I would also recommend offering gently-used baby equipment, furniture and accessories, toys and books. Hardly a day goes by that a customer does not ask for these products. Periwinkle's current retail space could be remodeled to accommodate this expansion.

Competition / Market:

Periwinkle is the only consignment store in the entire region. There are other resale shops, but none of these match Periwinkle for overall value, quality of merchandise, quantity of better name brands, or customer service. Downtown is home to two very small high-end boutiques that carry a small inventory of very expensive clothing. Klamath Falls also has three "mart" stores, which are not considered sources for shoppers looking for quality clothing and accessories.
