This 43 year old painting contractor has had the same telephone number since 1966! They have two Foremen that have been with the company for over a decade and plan to stay. The workforce has been very loyal because this painting business is one of a few that keep the workforce working 40 hours per week 52 weeks per year. The owner does little to no painting himself. He bids the jobs and manages the business. The sales mix is approximately 60% residential and 40% commercial. They maintain about 250 repeat customers in their Rolodex. Repeat, commercial clients include several well known private high schools, large churches and multi-location auto dealerships. The current backlog is over $40,000. New business originates from either past customers or referrals. This is a clean operation in which the owner does everything by the book. No monkey business. He carries workman’s compensation for the employees that are legal citizens and pays payroll taxes. Perfect books and records, directly from the tax returns and the current Profit and Loss Statements (no addbacks!). The price of the business includes all of the assets used to operate the business including two vehicles, ladders, sprayers, etc. The Buyer must have a valid California Contractor’s License C-33.
